New Aprons for Fall

Aprons are my best selling item in my shop www.originalsbylauren.etsy.com . I wanted to add more choices, and I found some great fabrics to use.

All my aprons fit real women, they are generously cut to fit misses and plus sizes, and offer full coverage to keep you clothes clean while cooking. They are pretty enough to entertain in, but you don't need company to want to look nice in the kitchen.

The new aprons I added are 100% cotton, as always, and machine washable and dryable.

The first one is black and covered in cupcakes, Robert Kaufman fabric. Who doesn't like cupcakes?

Next I have an Amy Butler pale pink covered in large peonies, very pretty and femine.

Last is Iota's Garden, a Japanese fabric made for Michael Miller. It is a turquoise/aqua with colorful vegetables all over it, very appropriate for any kitchen.

So whether it is one of these, or any of the other aprons in my shop, pick one up for yourself, or get one for a gift. Just remember, they won't last forever.

Going Green

When I go shopping I always bring my own bags. I have mesh produce bags so I don't need to use plastic.
I wanted to help you go a little green, so I came up with these great bags.

The first 4 are lunchbags. They are insulated and have ripstop nylon lining. The lining can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The entire bag can also be machine washed and dryed.
The bags are oversized and have a handle to carry them by. They have a closure so things don't fall out.
I have them in cotton, denim, even batik! Only $22 each. More designs to come, stay tuned.
I also have made bread bags. They are lined in the same ripstop nylon to keep the bread fresh, and have a velcro closure along the entire opening. The bag is large, big enough for a large bread machine loaf, or 2 smaller loaves. You could even slip a pie inside. No more plastic wrap or bags.
Snack and sandwich bags are also on the way.
Stop by www.originalsbylauren.etsy.com and take a look, and remember , I am always happy to do a special order.

I've Been Busy

August has been a busy month for me so far in my etsy shop http://www.originalsbylauren.etsy.com/
I wanted to share my new listings with you. I have been working on this quilt for a while now. It is made from bali batiks and I made it in a braid design. It is large enough for a twin bed, perfect for an oversized throw, or would be stunning hanging on a wall. Next I made a jewelry travel bag. This measures 4"x6" closed. It is lined with anti-tarnish flannel, to keep even silver shiny. The zipper opens both ways, and there are 2 interior pockets. It is just small enough to carry in your purse or carryon bag, but still large enough to use at home. More colors to come.
I have a bunch of great new designer home dec weight cottons, and I wanted to use them for some potholders. The designs are very modern, they are graphic, and really eyecatching. I still have all my regular potholders, but I think these are a great addition.

So stop by my shop and look around, I still have lots of aprons, and many other items. It's not too early to start holiday shopping, or treat yourself.
Enjoy the rest of the summer,
Lauren
