Calling All Expectant Moms

As many of you know, I have a second shop on etsy that I opened last fall. In that shop, http://www.originalsbylaurentoo.etsy.com/ I carry children's handmade clothing, crib shoes and hospital gowns. The hospital gowns come in children, adult and maternity styles.

As you can see by the photo, my pregnant model has had her baby, only a few days after she modeled for me, a daughter Briana. Both mother and daughter are doing well.

My crib shoes come in size 0-6 months, and are available in a variety of fabrics, including satin with the name and date of birth embroidered on the soles.

I hope to add women's clothing in the future, but at this time I have a variety of items for children.

All the items are hand made by me, and I have been a professional seamstress for over 20 years. I love to do custom orders, so if you have a specific request, feel free to ask.

Turning Over A New Leaf

I have been seriously neglecting my blog, so I am turning over a new leaf. I am going to try to blog alot more often.

Time to Start Anew

I hope 2010 finds everyone well and happy. No matter where you live, it has been very cold, so I hope you are also warm.

I need to get some new items in my shops for the new year, and I included a couple of the items currently in my shop

January is a time to rethink and regroup, and that is what I plan to do in my shops www.originalsbylauren.etsy.com and www.originalsbylaurentoo.etsy.com . Be sure to stop by often to look for new creations.

I will re evaluate what sells and what doesn't, so watch for sales too.

Baby It's Cold Outside

If where you live is anything like where I live, it is very cold outside, and a little chilly indoors too.

I find that the best way to keep warm is to snuggle under a quilt. Nothing is warmer or feels better than a hand made , one of a kind quilt.

I have some great choices in my shop, www.originalsbylauren.etsy.com and I am getting ready to make more in the next few weeks, so check often for new stock.

I use 100% cotton fabric and cotton batting, and they are warm and durable, made to last for years.

Whether you need a quilt for yourself , a gift, or a new baby, I can give you what you are looking for.


So, my best advise for these frigid days is this, put on a sweater, make a cup of cocoa, snuggle up under a quilt and read a good book. Enjoy these winter days, and have a great 2010!

A Break from Sewing

I thought while I was taking a break, I would pop in here. I have been seriously neglecting my blog.

I have been the potholder queen the last few weeks, and I so appreciate everyone that purchased them from me. I love to make them and see others enjoy them, but I make lots of other things too.I wanted to show you some of the other items in my shop, because potholders and aprons are not my only items. I also have quilts, jewelry and some bags.
