Happy Fourth Of July

Happy fourth, everyone. I hope someone reads this, I am computer illiterate and can't figure out how to download the counter. (I don't know how to cut and paste. 5 year olds are laughing at me right now.)

I spent alot of time in my sewwing room yesterday. I have made 6 more of the plus size apron. I plan to get the photos taken today, and get them up soon after. I have decided to make a bunch and keep my fingers crossed that they take off. If I don't try , I'll never know.

I hope that everyone has a fun and relaxing day today. We are off to buy a new grill! Pretty sad when that excites me.

Plus Size Mod Apron

Good morning. I have a question for anyone who might be reading this. I just sold this apron on etsy. It is a plus size and fits up to 4X. I have so far had 4 sales, 3 of them this apron in this size(not this exact print). I am wondering if I might be onto something here. My original thought when I stared selling on etsy about 6 weeks ago was that there is a void in the marketplace when it comes to plus sized aprons. Alot of really good cooks really enjoy food. Therefore, we do not all fit in the cute little aprons. Not all of us want to wear bbq aprons. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks for any comments in advance, and enjoy the summer weather! Beautiful July Day

It is a beautiful day, warm and dry, and I am having a hard time getting any work done. I would much rather be outside.

I am working on more items for my etsy shop, watch for them soon. I am still finding my way. I would like to get some Christmas items up soon for Christmas in July.

Brand New Month

Sterling & Copper Pendant

Sterling & Copper Earrings

Welcome to a brand new month. I always like July. It is the middle of summer , and we can lay back and enjoy the warm weather. School is out, and vacations have begun. I hope you all have a great month of lazy days.

Today I am showing you a two of my jewelry pieces. The first is a great pendant. The base is sterling silver and has been hammered with a design around the edges. The silver has been oxidized for a dark finish. There is copper soldered to the center. It hangs by silver tubing (also soldered) and copper wire. I know the picture is not great, but this is a very attractive piece, and one of a kind.

Next I have a pair of earrings. The copper has been textured for visual interest. The silver is hanging free of the copper, so they both dangle. They are hung on sterling earwires. I love to use copper and silver together. It makes the pieces go with more outfits, and I think they look a little more bohemian.

another great apron

I have another great apron to show you. This is made of Michael Miller cotton. The design looks like rickrack. It is sized for the average woman. I think it is a really fun print, and will brighten up anyone's day. If you like this but it is not your size, it can be ordered in plus size. Don't wait too long, I don't have much of this great print left.

More potholders

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are having a nice Sunday. It is hot and humid here, but at least it's not snowing!

I have some photos of potholders for you. I make them with insul-bright insulation inside, so you won't burn yourself like you can with only quilt batting. I hope you see some you like, if not stay tuned. There is always tommorrow.
